Our Tours

We offer a range of standard tours ranging from 2 hours to a full 8 hour day. We also offer custom designed tours to suit individual client requirements. Do you have a need to view a waterfront property from the ocean? Do you wish to visit an uninhabited island? Do you wish to take a business or personal trip to one of the islands without being tied to the BC Ferry schedule? Click on the appropriate link below and complete the contact form and we will revert to you promptly.

We do not offer sailboat tours but can refer you to sail boat charterers who offer this service.

Please note we do not offer fishing tours.

Click on the linked illustrations above for more information on our tour options.

What is included in the tour price?

Tours include:

  • pick up and drop off either in Ganges Harbour or, by arrangement, elsewhere on Salt Spring Island;
  • the hire of the vessel, with pilot;
  • use of all personal flotation devices while on board;
  • soft drinks and on-board snacks.

Additional to the standard price is:

  • pick up and drop off from and to other islands;
  • on-shore meals and land based transport costs (e.g. taxis);
  • taxes.
What should I wear?

Casual clothing is appropriate with non-slip, non-marking footwear. Overgarments will depend on both the season and the weather. Summers are almost always sunny in the Salish Sea but rain is possible in shoulder seasons and likely in winter. A light cardigan or jacket might be needed early mornings or evenings. Bulky clothing could impede the personal flotation devices and should be avoided.

Can you take more than four passengers?

Although our vessel is designed to carry up to seven passengers, for optimum comfort and safety on board we limit passenger numbers to four adults, or three adults and two children. We do not exceed these limits.

We have small children. Are the tours suitable for them?

Children invariably enjoy the tours which can be custom tailored to better serve them, for example, so there are more frequent washroom stops. We have child size personal flotation devices available. Up to two children are welcome under parental supervision.

Do you provide vegan lunches?

For all day or half day trips a pack lunch is included in the price. We happily cater for vegetarians and vegans. An option is to plan to stop off at a restaurant for meals. Vegetarian and vegan diets can be accommodated if this option is preferred.

Will my camera get wet?

Not if you’re careful. Passengers are sheltered from the elements and shots can be taken from under cover as well as from the open deck.

Scheduled Trips

We have a number of island trips scheduled where fare-paying passengers are welcome. The calendar below indicates the destination, date of journey, and the approximate times of departure and return to Saltspring Island. For all other tours, please complete our Contact form.

I was a little apprehensive about my newly acquired chicken’s ability to survive the trip from Fernwood Dock to Retreat Cove but her little sea legs were much better than I anticipated. Tour des Iles was a wonderful idea. Thank you for your contribution to the event and for making our day so memorable.

Sinead (and chicken)

Very grateful for your service. The round trip by regular ferry would have taken us 13 hours for a two hour visit whereas you whisked us there in 30 minutes. And the experience was terrific!

John and Sandra Proctor

Thanks – seeing the waterfront property we are interested in from the ocean gave us a quite different (and better!) perspective of it.

Bill Davis

Many thanks again for making today’s great outing possible! I’ve always known that this is a special part of the world, but seeing the islands from the water adds another dimension ….
